1. Local-First & Confidential Storage
When you upload sales files (CSV or Excel) to Retail IQ, your records are parsed locally inside your browser and stored securely in LocalStorage and your private Supabase database instance. We do not sell, leak, or share your shop's revenue or price data with any competitors or third-party advertisers.
2. AI Query Privacy (Groq & Gemini)
When using the Ask Shop AI or forecast explanation feature, anonymized summary metrics (such as daily sales averages and current stock levels) are transmitted securely to Groq and Google Gemini API endpoints for fast natural language processing. Personal customer names or financial bank information are never transmitted.
3. Cookies & Browser Storage
We use standard browser LocalStorage to remember your pre-loaded sales history and user preferences between browser sessions. You can reset or erase your stored dataset at any time by clicking the "Load Sample Data" button in the navigation header.
